Cool Qbox One & Cardsharing

Hi,

I've just ordered a Qbox One and I want to use it to cardshare Sly UK. My first question is will this box be capable of doing this? I know the Dreamboxes are able to do this but I haven't found much support for the Qbox One.

Also does anyone know any good tutorials for the Qbox One?

Any help would be really appreciated.

Cheers trink

Default hi

Yes it will be capable of doing everything that the dreambox does. No question about it. You may find the images by searching the web. Our moderator are a bit lazy here LOL.

Firstly qBoxes are made by duolabs and do nothing more than a DM.. i have found two posts for you off another forum!

Don't bother the surface mounted built in cam is now virtualy useless, if Duolabs who make this receiver opens N3 or other Encryption in the future the Qbox will end up been upgraded (with a new internal Cam been fitted)

The present Qbox could very well be made redundant, At the moment Duolabs are not very clear if there hardware can handle any encryption such as N3 or other newly released encryptions

I would not buy it untill I see what it can open, seeing as there is nothing open its hard to see if the present Qbox would be nothing more than a Door-Stop or having to go down the road of having to buy a plug in Cam from Duolabs to keep it in use, A waist of money Especially when you have already payed for a useless surface mounted Duolabs Cam ........

Duolabs is a company which is living of the leftovers from DMM .

They brought out their CAS interfaces to repair Magic Modules and Dreamboxes, making good money with it. The Diablo can be seen as the continuation of the MM and the QBoxes should have been the continuation of the Dreamboxes.

However they failed miserably with the SD model and there is a major problem with the HD model, it's closed source and no big 3rd party team wants to develop for it.(even Sifteam who had a SD Image are reluctant)
Then came the huge delay (first they released Beta boxes, and a whole lot of people became fed up) the other Boxes have only one HD and a DVB-T tuner, there is no place for a third tuner !

I heard from a technical guy that the box has been made out of really cheap stuff and somehow glued together.

I was myself pretty impressed from the features at the beginning, but now I bought an IP Box 9000 HD and I can say that I'm really glad I did, because you have 4 teams working on the software, one nice Enigma 1 port, and one Enigma 2 port with 5 modification teams, so we can say that the box has now the largest support besides the Dreambox.

i would stick with DMM coz they are open source and have much more support!

Oh well, I made a huge mistake with this one it seems.

I'll need to sell it and hope I can recoup some of the money I've wasted and buy a dreambox. I should have done my homework first but I just rushed in.

Thanks for the info.

Cheers

I know this is an old thread, but why exactly was the Qbox One such a mistake?
